We have worked closely with police forces and immigration services for more than two decades and built up a leading biometrics position in fingerprint image capture, transmission and recognition systems. Our unique portfolio of solutions includes SteriaFIT, SteriaFITMobile, Steria FITPlus, Steria FITPlus.NET, and SteriaFastID, as well as a complete AFIS solution, SteriaAFIS.

StreriaFIT (Fingerprint Image Transmission) system is used in 25 countries and enables European immigration services and police to reproduce and transmit all types of fingerprints from a remote site to a central or international site. It is compatible with main international standards, especially those of Interpol and the FBI. Thanks to its quick and effective identification of fingerprints, the system provides an efficient tool for improving border control and combating illegal immigration and organised crime.

Steria FITMobile allows police officers to instantly and digitally record dactyloscopic data (hand and fingerprints) from suspects and transmit them in just a few seconds, thus saving precious police time and resources.

SteriaFITPlus is a new version of SteriaFIT and has been designed to increase ease of integration and use, processing speed and security. SteriaFITPlus is fully compatible with all AFIS (Automated Fingerprints Information Systems) and fully meets the ANSI/NIST standards.

SteriaFITPlus.NET is a web-based software solution that offers all the benefits of SteriaFITPlus with the additional advantage of easy upgrading and version-control across a network. There is now an option to communicate through secure Steria software without using html ActiveX components.

SteriaFastID is a lightweight and highly flexible version of SteriaFITPlus geared to all field applications. SteriaFastID is ideal for use on the frontline, from city streets to the furthest borders – anywhere there’s a mobile phone connection. Users simply connect through a police network or mobile phone and two, four or eight single-fingerprints can be registered or crosschecked against the central database.

SteriaAFIS is a new generation complete Automated Fingerprint Information System solution for users from the civil and criminal markets that increases crime fighting capabilities. It supports enrolled and flat fingerprint search, as well as palmprint and 20 finger (with combination of rolled and flat prints) search. The solution brings best-of-breed processing speed and accuracy, based on standard hardware platforms. Processing takes seconds rather than minutes and it’s so intuitive that training is almost redundant.
