Identity management and biometrics

Ensuring secure controlled access to military sites is always a challenge, particularly when a large number of people need to be processed in a short time. Steria developed the Biometrics Data Capture System (BDCS) for the UK MOD. The system uses fingerprint and iris recognition to make positive identifications and is currently operational across over 20 sites. It is considered to be an important tool in securing military facilities.
