Commerzbank set up a strategic project
in order to streamline the back office systems
of its investment banking and reduce the number
of applications and complexity as well as significantly
diminishing processing costs.

Consulting supported Commerzbank in analysing
and implementing this project. Partly redundant
securities applications of the bank’s
back office were reorganised in order to capitalise
on efficiency, while certain investment banking
business processes were migrated into Commerzbank’s
transaction banking.
As a result,
Commerzbank is able to increase
the competitiveness of its investment banking
by providing both traders and customers with
high quality service.
