Power of Sharing
It's the way we work...
The Power of Sharing is a term coined by Steria to describe the collective benefits of sharing challenges, knowledge, skills and experience, to make something less complicated or better. The idea evolved from our conviction that social and financial equity are not opposed. This is demonstrated in our corporate governance structure with 20% of our market capital held by our employees.
Sharing is a human trait (learned in childhood through positive reinforcement of the outcome). It connects the "sharers" in a relationship bond, which produces personal connected energy and is more sophisticated than collaboration as a sharer participates without expectation of a personal outcome. The Power of Sharing describes the multiple benefits to all parties which may well be unforeseen and presented at different times. This follows the general principle of holism, summarised by Aristotle in Metaphysics: "The whole is more than the sum of its parts".
Examples include Tim Berners-Lee developing the worldwide web that we have all gone on to share.
Sharing has shaped Steria, and François Enaud, our Group CEO, believes that the power of sharing creates an energy that recognises the connection between businesses, individuals and society. An energy that can be harnessed for the ultimate benefit of all.
It is all about the client benefits
