Johan Vermeule is appointed Steria Group Human Resources Director

Newly appointed member of the Executive Committee for Steria Group, Johan Vermeule (51 years old), brings strong international experience in Human Resources and an excellent knowledge of the IT services sector. Johan Vermeule's role is to help implement the Group's strategy by developing a human resource policy that supports the changes to core businesses and required skills but remains in keeping with Steria's cultural identity and its uniqueness in terms of employee shareholding. 
Steria currently employs 19,000 people across 16 countries. Johan will direct Group HR policies across the organisation in support of Steria's strategic objectives. He will lead, define and implement dynamic international human resources policies, designed to meet the challenges of the IT services market and support our clients to gain competitive advantage. Johan Vermeule will focus on making Steria's employees a differentiating factor and inspire professional excellence through the introduction of first class HR programs. In addition, he will promote the uniqueness of Steria Group SCA in terms of employee shareholding.

Johan Vermeule started his HR career in the automotive industry at Nissan Europe in 1985. In 1999 he joined Atos Origin where he became Director of Compensation & Benefits and International Assignments. Prior to joining Steria Johan was Senior Vice President Global HR policies & processes at Atos.

Johan Vermeule holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management from Hertfordshire University.
